New Releases 2011: Sept. 4-24

newreleases090411

Over the next three weeks there’s quite a number of new big releases along with several reissues of past titles.

Of the former I’m mostly looking forward to Driver: San Francisco, but my excitement has decreased since trying the demo. However, I haven’t ruled it out yet.

It’s not surprising, to those who know me, that of the latter category I’m quite interested in God of War Origins Collection. When looking through the release list I wasn’t expecting to come across Mega Man Dual Pack for the PSP which includes Mega Man Maverick Hunter X and Mega Man Powered Up.

Anything you find interesting below?

New Releases 2011: July 10-30

newreleases071011

Unlike the previous three weeks, this time there’s three games I’m looking forward to, but only two I can get at the moment. Bastion is the one I’m interested in, but I hope it gets an eventual release on PSN.

It’s been awhile since a movie-based game has looked like it could be pretty good and Captain America: Super Soldier is that game.

El Shaddai is the final title and probably the one which has me the most curious. It’s Ignition Entertainment’s first and last self-developed game. It currently has a demo available. I liked what I played, but I can easily see it not being for most people.

WEEK of 7/10
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 (PS3, X360, PC, WII, DS)
L.A. Noire: Reefer Madness (PS3, X360)

NCAA Football 12 (PS3, X360)

WEEK of 7/17

Fallout: New Vegas – Old World Blues (PS3, X360, PC)
Just Dance Summer Party (WII)

WEEK of 7/24
Catherine (PS3, X360)

From Dust (X360, PC)
Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions (3DS)

These final two weeks of February are smokin’ hot. Street Fighter IV and Killzone 2 are obviously going to be the kings of their respective week with a lot of other high quality titles hitting the shelves too.

For those of you that were hoping to find Legacy of Ys this past week I’m sure were disappointed. Soon after my last post of new releases, it was delayed for two weeks. Hopefully Atlus will make this date stick this time.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II (PC)

Legacy of Ys: Books I & II (DS)
Puzzle Quest: Galactrix (X360, PC)
Tom Clancy’s EndWar (PC)

As I previously mentioned, I won’t be getting Killzone 2, but I’m definitely going to throw down $60 to purchase SFIV. I’m also thinking about checking out one of the Mad Catz game pads.
