Now Playing: September ’07

If you’re reading this then I congratulate you for being able to make time for other things besides Halo 3. :P On with this month’s Now Playing.

The game of the month without a doubt is Final Fantasy III on the Super Nintendo. I’m still not finished with the game, but I’m up to the World of Ruin where you find Relm in a cave. So far I’ve played the game for 31+ hours and, of course, I’m still having a blast! (GT Retrospective)

I didn’t expect to play much of anything else during the month, but I usually like to play one in-depth game and another “light” game. I played a number of matches against Usagi704 in a few Fatal Fury games. The first being Fatal Fury Special on the SNES (the main system I’m playing anything on right now) and then Fatal Fury: Battle Archives Volume 1 in Fatal Fury 2 and Special once again.

I very briefly played vs. mode in Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo (PS) getting owned in every match.

Mortal Kombat (again on the SNES) was played as I tried using these Twin Galaxies rules of beating the game on the Very Hard difficulty. I had never played the game on that difficulty before and I still got pretty far until I was beaten by the usual cheap CPU.

The last game that I played quite a bit of was Rastan. This arcade game was introduced to me by the hilarious ScrewAttack Video Game Vault. I ended up getting as far as the third stage boss. Also, I had bought Taito Legends (PS2) specifically for Rastan. What a manly game! :D
