RRW5 – Day 7: Recap

Day 7 of Retro Revival Week was a day of 0 games played. That’s right none. So instead I’ll recap the previous 6 fun filled days.

The following is the list of games that I played during this last week of retro goodness.

Final Fight CD (SCD)
Sonic CD (SCD)
Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition (GEN)
WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game (PS)
Silpheed (SCD)
NHL ’94 (GEN)
Earth Defense Force (SNES)
Contra: Hard Corps (GEN)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (SNES)
Rambo III (GEN)
Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master (GEN)
Tetris 2 (SNES)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles In Time (SNES)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist (GEN)
Donkey Kong Country (SNES)
Sonic 3D Blast (GEN)
Sol-Feace (SCD)
Crash Bandicoot: Warped (PS)

In total I played 19 games which is up from 15 from the last time. Also, I didn’t repeat any games from before either.

Here’s the two videos that I had uploaded to Gametrailers during the week. I now give them to you for viewing on GameSpot for those that either missed them before or would like to see them again. From Day 2 it’s the PlayStation version of WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game and from Day 6 it’s Sol-Feace on the Sega CD. Enjoy and as always retro rules!

RRW5 – Day 2: 24 Hit Combo!

In the first game of the day I played and finished both routes to the gold. I also played a few matches against Usagi704, who did way better than he gave himself credit for. I uploaded a video of matches 2 and 4 from my solo run for the World title as Razor Ramon. Check it out over at Gametrailers.

Back on the Sega CD system, I played Silpheed on two continues getting as far as the boss of stage 3. My final score was 140,710.

NHL ’94 (GEN)
A rare thing for me to do is to play a sports game. So I chose this hockey game. In 5 minute quarters I ended up losing as San Jose with a score of 4-1 against Anaheim.

Retro Rules!

Thanks aspro73 (and recent purchases)

As I do every so often, I’d like to tell you about the game purchases that I acquired more recently.

But, first I must thank everybody of the Candid Collectors’ Union for voting in the banner design contest. There were some pretty good ones and in the end my design (and its nearly 1,000 variants) won. I want to give a special thank you to aspro73 for supplying the prize for the contest. The oh-so-awesome-looking PS2 RPG Odin Sphere.
