Air Control

Remember that horrendous pile of shit called Earth: Year 2066? Sadly I do. A number of weeks ago it was finally removed from the Steam store by Valve.

Unfortunately another bullshit “game” by the name of Air Control has surfaced. This one isn’t even on the Early Access service. It’s being considered a full complete game. Complete my ass. Its “developer” is doing the same thing too. They’re lying about what the game is and silencing anybody who writes an honest review. Air Control is actually worse than Earth: Year 2066 if you can believe that.

This was covered, just like the previous farce, by Jim Sterling on the Jimquisition. He gives all of the dirty details on it. I also crafted another screenshot for you all.

With games like these getting through I really have to call into question Valve Software. Do they have any quality control on Steam anymore? I’m guessing not. I refuse to think it’s because nobody there notices these smelly turds. I think Valve is turning a blind eye to this matter. If you don’t have enough Steam staff to thoroughly deal with this problem then do I have a solution for you. Hire more people. Hell, hire me. I’ll gladly do it. I’ll happily move out to Bellevue, WA. I’m dead fucking serious!

Thanks to Jim for once again for his work! Much love doubled!

Earth: Year 2066

I’m sure you’re already familiar with the Early Access service Valve provides on their Steam digital download platform. If not, one of the places I’ve already talked about it was on the Hart & Usagi Podcast in episode 43.

Well a specific “game” (if you can even call it that) from the Early Access service was highlighted by Jim Sterling on his excellent weekly show, Jimquisition. In this week’s episode he calls out the “developer” (if you can even call them that) of Earth: Year 2066.

It’s the shittiest thing I’ve ever seen and the biggest legalized robbery of your money since The War Z. I took a screenshot and placed text on top of it as a the result of this garbage being out there. You might have already seen it on Twitter.

No words can really describe the hatred I have for these types of business practices and for those assholes behind them.

Thanks to Jim for spreading the truth! Much love!

Giving Google A Thumbs Down

There’s been some really stupid shit happening this week. Most of it has been from Google. They decided it was a good idea to kill advertising revenue for those on YouTube who’ve been allowed to do it for years. Here’s my thoughts on the situation along with the latest Jimquisition from the great Jim Sterling. Thank god for him!

Also guuthulhu has a great read on her thoughts too!

Another idiot move by Google concerns Gmail. They plan to have all images included with an email to be displayed with the body of text. Of course they claim they’ve scanned every email ahead of time before it hits your inbox, but this still allows for the possibility of a virus on getting through. On top of this the sender will be notified if and when you looked at an email.

All of this is clearly to give more and more information about you to the world-swallowing corporations like them. It’s long been past time to take our videos and email to other sites to give these fuckers some competition. Google is way too comfortable in their EZ chairs and it’s time we pooped on their party!
