  1. Started listening to this podcast in my hotel, on a business trip, ironing my clothes (pretty much the only time I iron my clothes). Ended it in my home. Here are my reactions.

I don’t think I’ve ever tasted anything classified as an Engergy Drink.

Pewdiepie – I agree that justice and revenge are two different things. I’d prefer some justice be found rather than finding a way to hurt them in a way that’s unrelated to the situation.

IGN bought Humble Bundle – It would be nice if it all works out, but big companies don’t tend to make decisions where they don’t see an opportunity to exploit the customer out of as much money as possible. They want profit before fans.

Unties – That name makes sense to me. I think it’s a fun idea; having something with a style you may find on a Playstation console showing up more often on a Nintendo console seems like it would improve the overall experience (if it in fact ends up doing that). It might even inspire Sony to take some more chances to have Nintendo-like titles show up more often on the Playstation.

PUBG – I don’t think a game should be nominated for Game of the Year, unless the developer says “here is our official release”. BUT, I’m not going to be upset if they decide that’s it’s done ‘enough’ to be in the running. If people are having that much fun with a game that’s not even “done” then that’s quite an impressive accomplishment, and should be recognized. And that’s great if you can do that, but don’t ask for it to be considered again when you do your full launch. I mean, I think it’s fine for people to not have released-this-year games in their GOTY list, when it’s a personal list of games they played; but when companies are doing their 2017 GOTY awards, if you’re considering it launched this year, then it’s a 2017 game. You don’t get another nomination next year if that’s when the official release is.

Gamestop Rental Serivce – If they want to do this thing where you can borrow used games, they’re going to have expand on the number of used games they have. Their in-store libraries seem to be getting more and more sparse, and their shelving space is mostly taken up by Pop figures and key chains. Can I rent a copy of the Fall Out Monopoly board game? Can I rent one of the plush figures from the bins you have lying around the store? It’s gonna reminiscent of a gas station with DVD rentals.

Battlefront 2 – I’m disappointed in this whole situation for many reasons. It’s easy to be disappointed with companies that take something I would enjoy (whether it be a franchise product, or something like the act of playing games in general) and do their best to ruin it with greed and disdain. What’s harder for me to be disappointed about is that I don’t even feel like I’m missing out on anything by not getting the game. I just don’t care about the game itself. I like Star Wars; it’s not my favourite, but I think it’s fun franchise. I would like to care. In the meantime, I’ll still playing the PS2 titles.

    • I completely agree with you on the PUBG thing in that if someone considers it for GOTY awards this year, they cannot consider it in the running again any other year regardless of when it was officially released.
